Q: Are digital brochures pre-folded?

Brochures can be folded and/or scored depending on the paper material you choose. Scoring creates a crease in the brochure fold that allows it to fold easier without fraying the material.

Q: Which paper types do you offer for custom digital printed brochures?

We have a variety of paper options available:

- 80lb text paper - lightweight but strong enough to hold its shape. Inexpensive, easily folded and is the lightest weight recommended for brochures. Best for brochures that require more than two folds.
- 100lb text paper gloss/matte - high-quality result, standard brochure material. This paper leaves a good impression and is sturdy and durable for repeated usage.
- 80lb cover - lightweight and sturdy, the thickness of the paper prevents it from losing its shape. Great for trade shows or events as they maintain their shape if put into a bag.
- 100lb cover - a thick and durable material that will last long. Best for two-fold brochures as the thickness prevents the ease of multiple folds. Great for cover folders for presentations or information folders.
- 16 pt cardstock - durable and high quality, can stand upright to be displayed, and will not develop crease lines. Must be scored before folding.

Q: What finish options are available?

We have a variety of finish options available:

- Matte - have no glare and will appear smooth and flat. Ideal for designs that require a softer or subdued color palette and for text-heavy designs made to resist glare and smudges.
- Glossy - provides shine and intensifies colors, giving a look of high contrast and saturation. Adds durability and water resistance to the material. Best for image-heavy designs and bold colors.
- High gloss UV - creates an added glossy coating that enhances the colors and shine. UV protects your design from scuffs, moisture, or chemicals. Ideal for products that will be handled heavily or outdoors.
- Smooth/uncoated - gives designs a simple look with emphasis on the content. Ideal for writability on the product.

Q: How can I decide which fold option to use?

We offer two-fold, tri-fold, Z-fold, and accordion folds. Please feel free to email us with custom fold requests and we will work with you to find the best solution for your project.

- Two-fold: folded into two halves dividing the brochure into two panels. The standard size for two-fold brochures is 8.5” x 11”, great for one to two product features on a presentation brochure.
- Tri-fold: divided into three panels with the right panel folding under the left panel. The standard size for tri-fold brochures is 8.5” x 11”, best for general balancing of information.
- Z-fold: divides into three sections that fold on top of one another. The standard size for Z-fold brochures is 8.5” x 11”, great for displaying general product information.
- Accordion fold: divides into four sections that fold on top of each other like an accordion. The standard size for accordion brochures is 8.5” x 14”, these are great for detailed how-to materials with multiple steps.

Q: Do you offer custom sized brochures?

We have a variety of standard sizes to choose from that we recommend for speed and convenience. Standard sizes include 4.25” x 5.5”, 5.5” x 8.5”, 4.25” x 11”, 8.5” x 11”, 8.5” x 14”, and 11” x 17”.
